In addition to diving, there is a range of activities available both in and out of the water at Fantasea Reefworld including:

Semi-submersible coral viewing tours

This underwater adventure for all ages allows guests to see the amazing coral formations and the masses of colourful fish without getting wet.  A knowledgeable guide will provide a detailed commentary and point out the many points of interest.  These tours are included in the day cruise to Fantasea Reefworld.

Underwater viewing chamber

Another way to enjoy an authentic marine life perspective is from the underwater observatory.  You will be amazed as teams of fish swim right by - so close you feel like you could reach out and touch them!

Snorkelling

All guests receive free snorkelling equipment in the form of masks, fins and snorkels with individually sealed mouthpieces.  Enter the water confidently and safely from one of the snorkel platforms and open your eyes to a world of spectacular beauty!  Lycra full length swimsuits and flotation aids enhance the snorkelling experience, offer protection and make it easier for first time snorkellers!

Guided Snorkel Tours

A reef as lively and colourful as the Great Barrier Reef is a fantastic place to snorkel. To truly appreciate the wonders of the world's most diverse ecosystem and the marine ecology of the reef, Reefworld offers guided snorkelling tours with an experienced reef interpreter. In groups with a maximum of six people, our reef interpreters will guide you through the underwater wonderland with a vast amount of knowledge and experience.  Experienced snorkellers can get up close to the reef and its inhabitants. Our guides will show you the wonders of the Reef - touch and see these creatures up close, with minimum impact to the environment.  We have a full selection of snorkelling gear - including wetsuits (for extra buoyancy), high-quality silicone masks, snorkel and a life buoy.  The safari guide will make sure everyone is fitted properly with their gear and will teach first timers how to snorkel.  Guided snorkel tours can only be purchased once on board the Great Barrier Reef vessel and once you book, the experienced snorkel team can organise a tour to suit your requirements.  See box below for prices.

Waterslide

What a way to enter the water!  Drop from the top and share the excitement of the Reefworld waterslide.....not only enjoyed by the kids!

Club Seahorse

The first floating child care service available on the Great Barrier Reef.  Club Seahorse ensures your kids (from 6 months to 15 yrs, pending availability) have a great time - while you have a great time!  Face painting, activity books, board games and movies make the kids' visit a fun filled day to remember.  While your child is supervised by our experienced staff, you're free to relax and enjoy the facilities ... guilt free! And freedom was never this cheap - Club Seahorse is included in your day cruise to Reefworld free of charge!  We care for your kids for up to 30 minutes at a time.

Helicopter Scenic Flights
